Is this going to be your primary bow? The Switchback was supposed to be one of the best bows Mathews made.

First day out for this season ends with a buck on the ground. Best day Ive ever had in the stand. Deer all over me for 5 hours. Bucks chasing does, making scrapes and rubs, sparring. Too bad the board kind of died and there isn't a contest this year.

This is ridiculous. The good ole USofA is not far behind at the rate were going. We are on the road to becoming a police state. These governments should be careful though. We will see the kind of protests and uprisings that have taken place in the Mid-East occur in more developed countries like Canada and the US if these sorts of police tactics are coupled with the occurrence of another serious economic crisis. Scary world we are living in.

Me and a buddy had our first yote hunt of the season this morning, and had a blast, although we missed the shots we took. We had about 3 inches of snow and 15 degrees this morning. Got to our first set and noticed a couple dogs in the cut corn field we were about to walk across. They eventually made their way into the woods, and we got set up quickly. After two call series, here he comes on a sting. At 75 yds I missed with the first shot (led him too much) and my buddy missed the follow up shot with him on a dead run. I was a fun hunt, even though we didnt draw blood.

I have an 870, but I am looking for a gun to take a little of the lickin out of those 3" turkey loads when I am leaned against a tree. I have friends and family that shoot 3" 11-87s, but I dont know anyone that has a supermag so thats why my question was specific to those particular models. I think the Benellis are way overpriced and the 3"11-87s seem to shoot fine if they are kept clean and reassembled correctly after cleaning(the hard part).

Has anyone or anyone you know have any experience with a Remington 11-87 SuperMag? I am thinking about picking up an 11-87 but have heard the 3 1/2" guns do not funtion well (lots of jams reported). I think I want a standard 3" gun, but if the problems have been addresed I might spring for a SuperMag.

Little West Virginia 8 point with a rifle. This is the only pic I have since nobody had a camera. I happened to have an SD card in my pack and borrowed the camera from the DNR guys running the survey at the check station.
