Practice extreme scent control and hunt A LOT. THe more you know of the area and the deer living there the MORE likely you'll take deer. Get out there and hunt. Try to mix it up...go for a morning hunt in one stand then an afternoon hunt in another. Scout out some areas where they havn';t been pressured as much by other members. Take a climber stand and get the surprise on them. Often times clubs condition the deer during hunting season to move through areas that go UNhunted. Thats my 2 cents. ;D

If your not seeing them its time to move. Scout scout and scout some more.

A good tactic is to take your climber walk in the woods find some good sign and climb. I have had a lot of good luck doing this.

A good tactic is to take your climber walk in the woods find some good sign and climb. I have had a lot of good luck doing this. THATS MY method primarily also. I do have a ladder stand for taking the kids or friends but its NO where near as successfulas my climber. The element of surprise is what gets them.
