This year I'm hunting a property with a great pinch point but no trees worthy of a stand...does anyone know or have a set of plans they could share for an elevated box blind or tower stand? I looked all over the web and most are pay for plans sites. I don't want to pay for something only to find out its not waht I really needed or wanted. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Dag its not really that hard to do. Get u some 4x4 and some 2x4's,plywood,windows and start building. Space 2x4 apart 16" o.c and plywood th walls. Assemble the floor with some 2x6 joist cover with plywood. assemble the base by crossing some 2x4 in a X pattern and stand it up. I would make it at least 6'x4' minimum. Hope this helps!! If ya need some drawings let me know i can make you something to look at.

Drawings Please...I don't think that it will be that difficult, I just don't want it lookin like a kids tree house and ready to all apart at any time. Safe and sound for years of hunting pleasure i smy goal. I looked at soo many pictures the other day I have the general idea for the tower part, its the actually blind part that I'm still deciding on...I suppose I cold frame it and burlap it but I still want a roof...seeing we get a lot of lighting storms, I wonder if running a lighting cable to ground would help it.
I also saw a couple designs that had the blind made of aluminum u sticks...I think wood is the way to go. sketch me out soemthing passin and email it to me. I think my profile has my email. I'll PM it to you just in case.

I saw one the other day I wanna duplicate. I don't think it will cost more than 70 for materials and saw some nice office chairs at walmart for $17 that are adjustable. Basically 4-4x4's framed together sturdy with 2x4's. The floor size will be 4X8. the size of a piece of ply wood. Now you have a platform, put walls a roof windows doors. ladder of stairs going up. I saw lowes has camoflage ply wood.
