Well its been a lot of studying, fun and hunting here at The University of North Dakota. Heres a few hunts that we have had so far
This is the first hunt I went on that was early season goose. I was still settling into college so this was the only time I went out for early goose
This next one is me and my buddies opening day. 24 ducks (4 man limit) in 40 min. This morning was the bes one so far and birds everywhere
Also got my first blue wing teal of the season
And this got taken some how
This is sunday of opening weekend and we got 24 again (4 man limit) in 2 hrs. Still a great hunt
Also went out Sunday Oct. 2nd. Good day we ended up getting our 18 (3 man limit) in an hour and 15 minutes
First drake pintail of the season
This next one was last thursday when we went out before class and managed 11 geese (1 shy of our 4 man limit) and 20 ducks (4 shy of our 4 man limit) Needless to say another great hunt.
My nice 4 curl mallard. First one of the season and the best one so far
Lesser Canadians we shot
This next one was saturday which ended up to be deemed hell day. I pulled an all nighter and we left at 3 to go to my trailer. My buddy was not feeling well because friday night was a little rough on him. When we got to the trailer I realized he still had all the keys for the lock. We raced back got them and got our stuff. We where 30 min behind at least and I knew if we wanted to hunt this spot that we thought was not posted land (In ND if a farmer doesnt post their land you can hunt it without obtaining permission which we normally dont do but we didnt see a house for miles.) We got there and even though I told my friends to look around harder for signs the day before as we pulled in there was a big posted sign in the turn in. I sat there in aw and then began to make a plan. I took us all back to the spot we hunted opening day and even though we didnt have any water decoys I knew a spot we could set up on land. With 20 min to set up it was nuts. We where racing around and got set up with a minute to spare. We ended up pounding out 19 (11 short of our 5 man limit) and called it a day. I forgot to mention we hit some sort of road kill on the way out goin 75 with a trailer. Its a good thing I was holding on! Needless to say as bad as it was it was a memory filled day
The spread from hell day
Finally yesterday against my better judgement everyone wanted to go back to the same peice of property and hunt a hole on the other side of the road. I dont like to pressure the birds but it was 4 against one so we did. Morning went smooth and we got out there and set up. Good thing we made our shooting count because after about 8 we didnt see another bird. Managed 18 and then jumped 2 pot holes on the property and left with 27 (3 shy of our 5 man limit)
Before the pond jump (The UND Crew)
After the jump with my roommate
Here are a few random pics

Breakfest I cooked for the crew
Hope you guys enjoy. So far college has been a blast and im looking forward to more hunting, socalizing and of couse studying. We are goin out this weekend and hopefully I can find some deer hunting spots to help our contest out. We will also start chasing yotes really soon here. Hope everyone else is having luck chasing whatever game they are after!
