Take deer meat of choice, cubes seems to be easiest, wash and drain meat, place meat in crock pot, cover meat with unsweetened apple cider, cook on low for 8 hours or so, drain crock pot, place meat back in crock pot, using clean hands, break meat apart shredding it. With cubes this is very, very easy, just take several pieces of cubes and and rub your hands together. Once broke apart, take your favorite BBQ sauce and cover meat, stirring it and covering the meat well and cook on high until the meat is hot. Serve on potatoe roll! simple and just cant beat it!

Can substitue the apple cider, I tried it with a cup of dales sauce and some wildlife seasonings in the crockpot and filled the rest of the way with water. Different taste, very very good, just not as sweet
