Me and my crew got into the debate over what makes a true outdoorsman. Is it the fact you just enjoy the outdoors or would it be a survivalist. Or someone who gives up their time and money to further the outdoor pasion. Whats your opinion?

I think its anyone that values the outdoors or does things in the outdoors. Its not the people who go for 1 nature walk all summer and then say they are outdoorsmen. Its the same as the deer hunters who go out opening weekend sit for 10 hours and call it a season. they are not hunters. same thing goes for outdoorsmen IMO

In my opinion a true outdoorsman is someone that gets in the woods or on the water every chance they have. Someone that has respect for nature, the land, and the game they are persuing while obeying the laws that protect our cherished natural resources. Someone that takes time to pickup trash that thoughtless slobs leave behind. Someone that passes on the knowledge, skills, and traditions of hunting and fishing to the next generation of hunters and fishermen every chance they get.
Smoke...

to me it is someone who not only takes out,.... but puts back in more than they take.................I myself love to give nature back a large steaming gut pile..... lol....an outdoorsman to me cant be someone who just hikes and camps,... he must fish, and hunt,... cause untill you become one with nature,.... and have harvested any living animal which nature has to offer and reaped the benifits within,.... you will never be a true outdoorsman... wow I think I surprised myself...lol
