Congrats! All good things must one day come to an end. I used to play baseball for many, many years and when it was over due to a pitching injury it just about killed me! That is when fishing and hunting replaced it.

Is it just me or are most of the newer hunting and fishing shows a joke or what?

Let's see here??? Right off the top of my poor hairless head I can think of 3 misses with a rifle, 1 with a muzzleloader and numerous with a bow since I have been hunting deer the past 30 years or so. I will share some more humility with my story about missing with my muzzleloader. I was hunting a local WMA on an either sex hunt with some high expectations of putting some meat on the ground. You can't expect anything less when you are hunting from "The Killing Tree" can you??? It was an evening hunt about 30 minutes before dark and right on cue comes a mature doe to my left. Everything seemed to be textbook! I had a perfect broadside shot at 30 yards on a doe that seemed to be very relaxed. I was hunting without a scope as this was before they were legal to use on primitive hunts in Georgia. I raised the old smokepole to lay her in her tracks! This was a give me shot by all means! I fired the muzzleloader to see her run about 10 yards in front of me without a scratch. I couldn't believe it, I didn't even cut a hair!!! She then started feeding just in front of my stand as if nothing happened. I reloaded as quickly and quietly as possible as she was feeding down the hill. She turned facing directly at me and I aimed just between both shoulders and fired. She dropped like a rock! I went to inspect my shot and I had shot her head nearly clean off! I then examined my sights on the rifle and the sight screw had worked its way loose! I was shooting about a foot high at 30 yards! LOL....

Oh yeah, I missed where he said it was for bow hunting. Sorry Term, my mistake. LOL Hey, it could be worse. You only killed a tree. I may, or may not, have killed a 78 ford pickup once. :-*Hope you didn't get a blood trail!? LOL... Passinthru- I still have a 300 Win Mag, just got rid of the 300 WSM. Tree's beware!!!!

LOL Very true JD! That yote has a great color to him! We have all kinds of color phases here. We have very light gray ones to black ones. A good yote is a dead yote!

I am ALWAYS looking for new hunting oppertunities! True scouting is a 12 month a year job if you really want to stay on top of your game. I have a great buck that made it through this past season that I hope to meet up with this next season! I will clear out a few very small shooting lanes for him for bow season.

95% of the smoke smell has gone, so I think I will not go through with the insurance claim. Got really lucky! Out of curiousity I will take the old dryer apart to see if the belt was broke. The smoke alarms were not going off when I came in. I checked them and they do work. I don't know if they cut off after an extended time or not. Another thing to check for my lucky wake-up call.

I agree with JD! Put the Krylon to it! You can always remove it quit easily if wanted and it is much better than tape. Sweet looking shotgun, but that guy in the pic holding your shotgun is kind of scary looking! LOL... JK Had to give you a hard time bud!
