Don't let it ruin your season. Like I said we have lost five does shot this year. I trailed 3 of them, and I consider my self a good tracker. I take it slow on my hands and knees. Two deer had great blood trails and so much blood I new I was gonna walk up on the deer dead any minute and the blood stopped and never found em.
It is very dissapointing, but it happens. I have considered not bow hutning because of it.
I will have a trailing dog by next season hopefully.

Had a buddy shoot one last year that bleed like no tomorrow. We lost the blood trail and did find the Buck the next morning over 500 yards away. Perfect shot he made and even put the arrow back thru both holes. The buck should of never made it 40 yards taking out both lungs but it did and it happens to everyone. Get on her and with your skills you should find her.
Dont let it ruin your season. It happens to all of us and if it hasnt it will. Keep your head up Bro (not while tracking of course).

well, 3 guys 6.5 hrs of running grids back and forth by gps,..... no deer,.... i have to admit I feel better now after looking hard,.... it poured all night so any chance of blood was gone before daylight. we hit every water source in the area, no dice, if you look at my gps, it looks like a race track, there is no spot we didnt look on the property,... so maybe shes still alive,.....dont know, I must have put the arrow in the (dead zone) the spot right above the lungs and liver and just in front of the guts, had great blood for 100 yrds, but then it just clotted and stopped. I have been hunting for 17 years , this is my first loss with a bow and only my second loss ever, it still doesnt make me feel any better...............on a lighter note, back out at it again tomorrow.....sorry team north

Bury it down deep & move on. =]
Glad to see ya put the time & effort into recovering your game. Even when it doesnt pan out for ya, you always learn something from the experience. Time, effort & the experience is what makes a great Sportsman.

You put the time in for a recovery, sounds like plenty of time, which is way more than alot of peaple do. Sucks, but its part of hunting, you did the best you could to recover her, I know it will be on your mind for a long while but you do all you can do! Peaple dont always relize the will to live these deer have, very amazing animal when they want to be! Good luck with the rest of your season!
