Well turkey season started October 1'st and bow season starts Saturday(Oct. 16) I won't be bow hunting this year but I would like to get out and turkey hunt a few times to scout some deer for the regular season. Regular season open November 20th so their is still about a month and a half until I'll be hunting deer. We have several doe and a few decent bucks on camera and no one is bowhunting on our 110 acre property. Hopefully the bucks will stay close to home and away from the nieghboring bowhunters. Now all their is to do is get the slug gun ready and do a final sight, get the gear together, and wait!!

Regular season opens this Saturday. I'll be hunting my 27 acre spot in the morning and the bigger 130 acre spot in the afternoon. The weather channel is calling for chilly weather and decent winds so it should be a good day. Next week is my vacation so I'll be in the woods almost everyday! Here we come 2010 Regular Season.

Regular season started Saturday. I hunted both in the morning and the afternoon. Saturday Morning I passed up a basket rack buck and a small doe. The wind was starting to pick up by mid morning. The afternoon hunt was real windy and didn't see much of anything. Sunday I hunted in the morning and afternoon also. Sunday morning was cold and still. In the morning I seen three doe but not shooters. Sunday afternoon I had 2 doe and a shooter buck about 150 yards from my blind and I couldn't get them to cross the fields. I'll Be hunting the same blind tomorrow morning. Winds will be about 16 mph so It may be a tough hunt.

Hunted the field I seen the nice buck last nite on monday. Didn't see anything. Real windy 40 degrees. Didn't bother to hunt this morning rain and 30 mph gusts. Prolly wont be back in the woods till thanksgiving morning because of crappy wind.

Hunted this afternoon. No wind mid 30's real nice day for hunting, Didn't see much. Hunting tommarow morning, weathers supposed to be about the same as today.

Thanksgiving morning was cold and still no deer movement. Hunted Friday after noon weather was still and cold didn't see much. Sunday morning's hunt was ruined by a trespasser. Sunday afternoon put a stalk on a decent sized buck but ran out of light took a bad shot. Back to work tomorrow wont be in the woods till next weekend. Two weeks left of regular season.

Hunted soy lot all weekend long and didn't see a single deer. Saturday afternoon was pretty still with 5-10 mph winds light snow. Sunday morning was light winds with snow showers. Sunday afternoon the snow was heavy with light winds. Haven't seen a deer all weekend. Season ends next Sunday. Its not looking good. I'm starting to get frustrated with hunting this season. Seems like deer movement is down this year.
