Larry Weishuhn aka "Mr. Whitetail" & Dr. Grant Woods wrote a chapter in the book "WhiteTail Wisdom" that Ive been reading. Both these men are Whitetail Biologist/Hunters & have been studying deer for decades. Anyways, the chapter of the book they wrote is based on the DAI Calendar that is produced annually through P&Y Harvest Studies & Luar/Solar Calendars. They "Mr. WhiteTail & Dr. Woods" advocate the Index & it's use by Hunters looking to score that Bruiser Buck. The Deer Activity Index Calendar is used as an Deer Hunting almanac of sorts & provides many features. Mainly, Daytime Deer Activity. Here's a link to a free online DAI Calendar: www.outdooroutlook.com/2010/index.html Now Ive heard of this Almanac before & just never payed any attention to it. But after reading this chapter of the book, written by two well known & proven WhiteTail Biologist/Hunters, I think Ill give it a shot & do some field research myself using the DAI. Anyone else used this Almanac in the past & had positive results?
