Hello all, Looking at getting a Ruger M77 Hawkeye All-Weather this winter, just want to know what you guys think of them and what experiance you've had shooting them as well as hunting with them. i hunt mainly whitetails in SW manitoba, canada, but will be putting in for a moose tag next year. caliber will be 7mm rem mag, and already have a nikon buckmaster scope to put on it.
Thanks JNOS

I have an all-weather in 7mm08. I love the way the gun is built. The trigger is decent but could use a little inprovement. There is a slight amount of creep. I couldnt get the gun to shoot factory remington cor-lokt ammo, but didnt try anything else. With those loads I was getting groups that were between 2-3 MOA, so I handloaded some ammo and got her shooting 1-1.5 MOA. Some Rugers have a reputation for being picky with ammo. I am happy with mine, but havent hunted with it yet. That will change in a couple weeks.

I have 2 all weather Ruger M77's in the Mark II. I love them!!! The only complaint with any Ruger are the triggers.
