So, The owner of our property that I lease has been doing alot of work on this dam at the end of our creek. I noticed he was really spending alot of time and money on it.
So, I asked him what all the work was about.
He said that he is planning on turning the back side of our property into an RV Park next year. He is damming the creek to flood the area and rent out kayaks and canoes.
He said we could still hunt the front half of the propety.
Anyway, I didn't say too much and walked off. Basically we are losing about 250 acres of the 500.
to top that off the Property that borders the front half of our property that has never been hunted much, was crawling with guys hunting. We have a tripod on the edge of our property and theirs and a guy came walking up to one of our members and talked to him the whole evening. I wish it would have been me there. Because my buddy didn't say anything. Basically he acted like they were hunting there and we needed to move.
It really pisses me off, we been hunting that stand 6 years on our property and paying a butt load of money to lease this place. And this guy just got permission to hunt for free, and has 900 acres and he has to hunt on top of us.
He thinks we are hunting his property because we can see it. But where he was hunting he can see our property. So, what's the diff. Our property is thick planted pines and all the deer funnel out of our woods into their grown up clear cut.
Then we hear them blasting all weekend. On top of it all, I saw one little spike in five hunts.
I am not happy. May still hunt there next year, if he re negotiates the price big time. But guess I gotta start looking for something new.
