Last night i was hunting and i had 3 does come out of the brush. I never got a clear shot so i let them go. They then went into a horse pastor and all of the horses in the field charged the does. I thought this was weird. What i want to know is if this is a common thing for horses to charge deer? Any way not getting a shot on those does leaves me skunked for the year. Wishing you better luck than what i have had. Thanks, Jake

Not strange I have seen cows do it also.

My best hunting spot is a horse grazed woods which is a funnel with horse pasture on both sides. The horses go into the woods sometimes, and the deer go into the pastures. From what I've seen, they pretty much ignore each other.

I've never seen a horse charge a deer but we had a horse that could spot a deer LONG before we would ever see it!

We used to see them graze together all the time.

I've never seen a horse charge a deer, but my uncle hunts between 2 pastures (one has cows and one has horses), he usually has some pretty good luck getting something.
