Its opening morning of our shotgun season and I gotta work. This sucks, first year in a long long long time I am not able to go! Missing family breakfast at my uncles house, lunch at my cousins house. Hopefully I can make it out of here at a decent time to get into a stand this afternoon! But at least I wont miss cocktails in the garage tonight  with all my family! Going to one of the largest waterfowl shows in the country tomorrow in Easton Md, then hoping to make it back for the afternoon hunt as well. Man this is gonna bug me all dang day........................ |

I know how you feel bro. Im will miss my rifle season for the first time in 27 years of hunting. It sucks but i must work to feed the family and be able to enjoy my hunting. Yeah it sucks but it is a neccesary evil we must do.

Ya well I at least have off monday, plan on sitting in the stand all day then! Its a awesome cold morning too............Ugh its gonna be a long day

Don't worry about it slayer. It was a miserable morning in this wind and all I saw was a doe and 2 fawns. One of the does almost gave me a shot, but not quite. I'm glad she didn't, actually, cause I'd like to kill a doe today but not a fawn.

Skunked monday, sat nearly all day, got out long enough to eat lunch and back in stand. Was a great day, cloudy overcast, storm moved in late last night and yet nothing moved. No one saw anything. Prolly wont be able to get in stand again until friday when I have off. Getting off at 4 sucks, cant get into stand until 4:30-4:45 and its dark by 5:20 so its a waste! I am hoping friday is much better!
