Slug gun project

I picked up a couple used guns the other day. One is a yugo SKS and the other a Mossberg Maverick M88 12ga 2 3/4"-3"... My question is will reg 500 barrels fit I am pretty sure they will.

I really want a slug gun, just like hunting with them.
I used to have two 870 rems a 12 and 20 killed a lot of deer with them..And slug ammo has come a long way.

Thinking of a rifled cantilevered barrel and a good 4x scope.Then maybe a nice custom paint job.. Should be a fun project..

I have a Maverick and it is junk!! When you shoot it the shell gets stuck and you can't pump the gun. Some shells work a little better than others. Sometimes you have to take it apart to get the shell out. I decided to make it a toy and put a 18inch barrel and a pistol grip on it but it is still only good for one shot! ha!ha!
