anybody had any experience with any Thompson Center rifles? My local outdoors store has a TC Venture for sale for just over $450. Says it has 5R rifling and a match grade crown. doesn't look like a bad rifle, but looks don't put deer down. not a bad price on a rifle from a company that makes a pretty darn good smoke pole.

I own a T/C icon in 243. This is the same rifle as the venture only the venture doesnt have all the fancy wood on it. IMO this is one of the best deals on the market right now. My icon shoots holes on top of holes. I couldnt really believe the accuracy of that rifle. You cant go wrong with T/C products anyway. I have an encore,icon,pro-hunter and a front stuffer and love them all.

I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy anything from T/C. Ive always read good reviews on their guns. My buddy has a Pro Hunter ML and that thing shoots tight groups all day long.

They're supposed to be a MOA rifle. TC usually makes good stuff. I have two of their muzzleloaders and they are both high quality guns.
