Thanksgiving morning I was hunting on my land and had to quit at 11:00 to make it to the family dinner at noon. I had a little spare time and decided to check out the west end of the farm. As I got out of the truck at the creek that runs under the road I noticed a bag of trash thrown into the creek, and beer cans and other trash along the road ditch. I started to look through some of the trash and found a prescription pill bottle with a name and address on it. That is when I dug out the cell phone and contacted the County Sheriff's office. A deputy was there in about 15 minutes. To make a long story short, the deputy looked through the junk and found another bottle with the same name on it, which happens to be a neighbor that owns 10 acres of land next to mine on the south side of the farm. The deputy said he would speak to the person and get the issue resolved. I returned to the spot at 4:00 for an evening hunt and all the trash was picked up. I'll bet that the guy that dumped the trash had fun picking it up in the rain on Thanksgiving day, and I don't think I'll have any more problem with him dumping his trash there.

Man its funny you say that, there are 4 bags of trash on the side of the road, by my dad's house. I was thinking of going through them to see if there was any mail or something with an address, I just wasn't sure if the police would do anything about it. If they are still there later today I am going to look.
Its hard to imagine what could make a person just throw a whole bag of trash out like that, It reall is sickening

Good for you! I cannot stand people who do that sort of thing. The laws need to be rewritten. If I was doing the writing, these idiots would have to pick up every scrap of garbage, AND EAT IT!
Sorry, touch subject I guess.LOL

I don' tknow bout where y'all live but round here there is a dump site about every 3-5 miles. And local trash service comes weekly righ tto the driveway and IF that wasn't enough...almost every stripmall, or store has a dumpster or two that typically isn't locked up or inaccessible. There REALLY is NO excuse for littering or trashing the environment. I can only imagine how these people live...I bet they have pathways through their house and are candidates for that show CLEAN HOUSE. Sad state of affairs the world we're living in. People becoming completely inconsiderate, disrespectful, and oblivious to the world around them.
:-/The "gene pool" could use some more chlorine.

Last month while working on the roads we found some trash bags that somebody dumped off with about fifteen letters with the same address and some other non-mentionable items. We called the State Police and the person paid a hefty fine for throwing out some Hefty trash bags. LOL
