The only thing preventing me from insanity after deer season would have to be fishing! ;DAlthough hunting is my favorite, I do love my fishing! I plan on doing quite a bit of fishing soon chasing bass, walleye, trout and catfish. I am hoping to get a trophy smallmouth this year in the 5 pound+ range along with a double digit pound largemouth!!! Yeah, I aim high!!! LOL... Just wondering if anyone else is starting to get the itch???

This is another sore subject for me. I have been thinking about it alot. But my boat motor is having problems, and I think it has a blown head or cracked block. And worse yet not enough money to even think about fixing it. Hopefully things start looking up.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. Its a great time to fish steelhead, walleye, and browns in our river right now. Been wanting too but time is not on my side.

I think I will start getting the fishing equipment ready soon. I like getting the reels re-spooled and greased as well as getting the hooks sharpened up. My fishing equipment is scattered everywhere since hunting season began, so time to do some inventory to see what I have and don't have.

He had a marine repair business for years, and is a whiz. Heck, in the winter time, he would do it for the price of parts only just to give him something to do. LOL Good luck with it though.

My Grandfather is a whiz at alot of stuff. He has helped me fix my boat tons of times, and while I know he doesn't mind, I feel bad always taking it to him. I have not even told him yet because I know he will insist I bring it over. I may ask him, I just have a good feeling it is gonna involve really tearing the engine apart. I guess I need to considering I can't really get much money selling the boat if it aint running.
