A few of my friends and I are looking at taking a whitetail trip after we get off of this deployment. We normally hunt state land or a neighbor's land when they let us.
Has anyone had a great trip they have taken that they can recommend? It has been awhile since several off us have taken anything with horns.......sniff.

Where are you looking to go? And are you looking for public land hunts, or outfitters?

Probably an outfitter. We are still trying to narrow down the location. Of course we are from all over the country so each of us think the best hunt would be where ever we are from. All I have done is a preliminary search for for reviews from other hunters as to the quality of the experience.

....and we would like the best odds for taking something instead of going to a state area and having no luck. There are alot of inconsiderate hunters on public land.

Scout i have taken this trip to ontario for 5 years, This year i couldnt go but am scheduled to go this year. Check out his website and youll see some of the bucks that has been taken. This is a friend of mine and i will guarntee that you wont go home dissapointed. Thanks for the link passinthru. I will look into it. I am sure it isnt that hard to get permits in canada.....or is it?

No problems at all. With you being military it will be even easier to cross the border. The liicense is sold over the counter an di think it was around $200. Great place to see deer act like they should. Very little pressure which is sooooo nice. Good luck!!
