Did anyone else see the Petersen's Hunting Adventures show on hunting axis deer on Molokai last week? These are beautiful animals. Unfortunately they are an introduced species on a small island with no predators: www.rarehawaii.org/deerpage/deer.htmI think we should introduce a Predator to Molokai to combat this problem. Anyone with me? |

I shot my first axis deer last year. It was a free range doe on a friend of mines place out in the hill country of Texas. I'm getting the hide tanned and should be getting it back soon. To me it was more of a trophy than any buck I've ever shot.

Seems like a hunting groups paradise adventure hunt should do the trick. Who wouldn't want to visit Hawaii and get to hunt down a trophy during your stay. Set up a hunting lodge with beach access for the girls, Get a helicopter for scouting...drop down set-up the tree stand...drop a buck or two. scoop em up and its party time. What d'ya think something like that would cost predator? For the hunting Hawaii experience? $4500?? $5500?? If we could presell say a dozen hunts at $5000 each maybe we could actually get soemthing up and running.  |
