Bowfishing

Any of you guys do any bowfishing? We go usually once or twice a week. In fact my cousin and I built a boat just for bowfishing. If any of you guys are ever in the East Texas area let me know and I'll take you out. Its a great way to keep the old archery skills up during the off season.

Looks like a blast! I used to bowfish quite a bit when I was younger. Now, don't have enough time or a boat.

i do a little just from land when they are spawning got a 20+ pounder this year but that was it. i love it so i might take you up on the offer if im ever down there

Its an open invitation to all forum members. We are actually looking into getting our guide license and start guiding part time.

I used to do it a little years ago. No time anymore but it is addicting once ya get sarted. One time i was building in Ft. Worth at cabelas and this guy showed up with a huge alligator gar wrapped in a blanket. Now mind you he had a 20 min ride to cabelas and probably 15 min once he got there and i helped release it into there pond. It was shot in the tail area with a bow and the thing was still living a week later when we left. That was just insane that this fish lived that long without water.
