Looks like I may have found a new place to deer hunt next year! Drove in there this morning to check out a lake to fish and I saw about a dozen deer!  This place has some great potential and after the morning hunt I can get some fishing in before the evening hunt! Can't wait 'til next season!!!!!!  |

I am hoping to go fishing there tomorrow. If I do I will take some pics. We had a storm last night that blew down a few trees in my drive or I would be there right now!

As soon as the kids get a bit older and I can take the time, I am so coming down there. Which should give me enough time to get a proper rifle in order. You guys got any upland birds down there?

Cool! We have grouse and quail. The upland bird hunting is not great by any means where I live. The quail hunting is unreal however at Di-Lane which is South from me. It is primarily managed for the quail and the county it is located in is called the "Bird Dog Capital of the World". BTW- I have plenty of deer rifles you can use! |

hey, make sure you scope it out real good. i plan on making another trip over there again this year since last year went by so fast and we never got a chance. Oh, and I feel your pain on those trees. I've got 3 big oaks in my yard and a big maple. When I say big, I mean probably close to 100 years old. They're all in need of a good trim, but with the way my house and my neighbors' houses sit, it'd be near impossible to get a bucket truck in the backyard. Every time the wind kicks up I hate it. It usually means that I'm going to spend an afternoon picking up sticks.  ***but nothing like the "stick" that you're dealing with*** |

I am sooo greeen with jealousy. I lost my place again. They opened up a new riding trail along the marsh and I had to take down the tree stands so that the horse riders could travel through. Oh well...whats a guy to do? I guess get friendlier with his online hunting buddies and drive farther then ever before just to shoot some deer. What ya say Terminator? When we gonna drop some deer?
