Picked this little guy up yesterday. Its a savage .204 topped with a 12x scope accutrigger and sling. This is gonna be my yote hunting rifle for them long shots!!! I was shooting it yesterday at 200-300 yds and was grouping them in at 2in. This thing is a tackdriver. At 100 yds i was punching holes on top of holes!!!  I think im really gonna enjoy this one!!!! I had a 204 for a while right after they first came out. Accuracy was crud, but that was because the barrel was crap. Ruger stood behind it, and replaced the barrel, then it was good to go. Performance was very good on yotes out to 300 yards. Usually only had the entrance hole no exit. I sold it to a guy for what I had in it. At the time, there was only like two factory loads available and I didn't want to load for it. Of course, shortly after several new loads hits the market. LOL
Great fur-friendly round though. You should be very happy with it.

Im looking foward to putting out a few eyes with it. I like head shots on them critters so i dont mess up the fur. One of the reasons i bought a smaller caliber. The pelts are worth more with smaller holes in them. I need to go put fresh batteries in the caller and head to the woods!!!
