ITS THAT TIME AGAIN

Let"s talk some deer it"s only a few mths. before deer season ;D,next week I am go refresh my salt lick"s. I may get some molasses an pour on some stumps ,I did 2 years ago they, eat the stump.Thinking about planting a few Sawtooth oak"s ,I have some 7 ft. tall in pots ,

When you start the deer sign up J .D I am in hahaha they owe me lol.

I wont be able to get ready til end of August at the soonest because I will be heading to North Dakota to College so ill have to find all new spots out there.

Cj your a man after my own heart. Ive been doing some scouting,habitat work and shed hunting lately. More work then shed hunting but i still love to just walk around the woods.

Does anyone really ever stop scouting?
I try to get out a couple of times a week even when it isnt season to scout.

I am ALWAYS looking for new hunting oppertunities! True scouting is a 12 month a year job if you really want to stay on top of your game. I have a great buck that made it through this past season that I hope to meet up with this next season! I will clear out a few very small shooting lanes for him for bow season.

CJ its great to have you back bud, glad all is well!..................... back to buisness,... i scout year round ........constantly........Im in the woods at least 1 to 2 times per week if not more.I like to get there number before they get mine!

I was up at our farm today, my Uncle has a guy logging the cedars. I talked to him today, he's a hunter & he tells me that he's seeing up to 40 deer a day and they're coming into the cedars to eat the tops... He's been there since late December & expects to be there until September. He told me that a "BIG BOY" has moved into the bush in the last couple weeks..

I've gotta admit it got me excited! I've got lots of spots to set up stands for deer watches because the logging has opened up the bush sooo much!! Deer tags went on sale March 1st, rifle season opens Nov 7th. ;D ;D

Oh yeah, I missed where he said it was for bow hunting.

Hey, it could be worse. You only killed a tree. I may, or may not, have killed a 78 ford pickup once.

O I forgot I don"t scout much have 3 place"s that I hunt ,powerline ,the back area an just sit some where on the ground. The best is on the power line ,just put up a ground blind an have at it hahaha ,also have a ladder stand if you wanna climb.

Passinthru- I still have a 300 Win Mag, just got rid of the 300 WSM. Tree's beware!!!!
