Saw a nice buck munching on leaves along hte road this mornin takin the kids to school...went checked the PO and he was STILL there when I came back through. Relaxed in my hammock tonight lookin at all my hunting stand and started remembering what deer I took from each stand...and started wondering what this coming season will hold. I've got the itch to get started scouting and patterning deer already. Is that a bad thing so early in the year? My season starts AUG 15. Thats ONLY 2.5 months away...OMG I just realized that!!!! WOW. I really better start scoping out my hunting areas and patterning the deer.

Got a dvd with my trail camera...the Archers Choice Stealth Cam...called "Severe Whitetail Disorder 3." Pretty interesting and definately raises the desire to get out and hunt. I scoped a couple really nice trails today that are both planted with food plot at the hunting club...they were planted a week or so ago and the sprouts are already on their second leaves. A blend of seveeral things. Lots of turkey sign and deer sign ALL along the trail. Also found a spot where either turkey, hogs, or something else was foraging through the last years brush hoggin mulch. I put a trail cam on that spot since the evidence was inconclusinve as to what made the diggings and foragings. Still no bucks on my trail cam yet though...THATS got me bummed.

I seen 2 nice bucks the other evening whie driveing boy does that get you ready to get out there and go.
