Has anyone used them? Do you currently use them? Recommendations? Spotting vs Mounted? Gen1 vs others? I'm seriously considering getting one so I can see inf the freaking dark as s woods we've got around here and not miss out on spooking deer entering or leaving my stand.
Either a Night Vision Scope or a THermal Scope. That ND3 stuff just seems far fetched and unbelieavable.

I broke down and bought the night optics d-740 in a gen 3 version. Saved for a whole year but man was it worth it. A good friend of mine just but a thermal unit. Its awesome in its own right. You can carry it to scout with then attach it in front of any day scope. Then when you shoot a hog and the rest of them run in the woods you can pick up on their heat signature. But at 18k it was way out of my range. You night also look at some of the muns units in night vision. They also attach in front of any day scope. So you can change from gun to gun and use it to scout. The night vision you have to know what you are looking at, where as thermals pick up the heat signatures and make it a lot easier to scan an area. Either way you go get the most you can afford. Ill try to take pictures through the scope next time I go out. Probably be weekend after next.
