all the info you get is beneficial. Yet, it is still early, August is when things start to get a little better. The fawns for instance can help tell you when the does were bred last year. That one looks young, but that is probably the right age for a fawn right now. Meaning she was bred in that first normal rut.

Thanks grassi...I hadn't thought of that info but obviously it does help. Another factor I found out, was that the timber company who owns the land sprayed herbicide a couple months ago to knock down undergrowth in the pines and apparently, that drove out a lot of the deer...what I'm seeing on my cam is the slow return of deer into the area from the surrounding UNsprayed areas. I also heard that the bucks havn't had a real strong presence on camera until closer to rut...apprently they stay hidden, according to the club mgr who'se hunted the place going on 4 years now. I'll post more pics when I get them...stay tuned.
