I have been working on a map. Here it is, We have not set up a single stand yet. The Food plots have been tilled, but not planted. Many of the plots were already previous food plots. The one food plot behind camp, which is the orange dot furthest left has a good stand of clover that needs to be cut and fertilized. That is where I have gotten most of the buck pics so far. We have the rights to the piece of property that splits up the big piece along the river.

Looks like some good property. Lots of nice features for the deer. Things seem to be looking good for your season.

I'd say the further from the rod you put stand the better your chaces for a bigger buck. Rember bigger bucks don't always frequent the food plots during shottinghours so stand placment is key to catch one transitioning along the woodline from the thickest cover to the feeding area. Good luck this season grassi.

Good luck this season grassi. YOU Would Think I need to get out and really do some foot work scouting, but its just so darn hot. The crazy thing is that for the last 2 months I have put camera's everywhere from the river to the road and all the bucks are in two spots within 400 yards of the road. Go figure. The river bottom is pretty big and you can pretty much only access it by foot, I need to get in there and find a good trail.

Problem is the deer are in there summer patterns still. Once the velvet starts to fall things will more than likely change.

Looks good. Makes want to join. I didnt know you where a biologist. I am not really. I am 20 credit hours short of a general biology degree. But that is what I was going to school for . Over one summer I branched off my fathers roofing business and started my own gutter business. That summer I got a big contract to put gutter on some apartment buildings and have not looked back. I figure the money and hours at what I am doing are pretty good. I wish I had finished and got the degree anyway. Maybe one day. We are near Reidsville Ga. I found out that 600 acres of adjoining paper company property was up for lease. I wanted to lease it and add it to our property, but we were already stretched on money. Luckily, I had a few buddies that hunted with me last year that had a place fall through and I just got them to lease it. I think next year we will add it all together. For a total of 1800 acres. You can do some good managing on 3 sq miles of property.
