Glad some one is seeing some good bucks. We need some rain in our area bad. We hit a 32 day record for over 100+ degree weather. The lakes ponds and creeks around our place are bad low. The does have been stressed pretty bad with fawns dropping. We got an email from our biologist saying that normal fawn survival in our area is normally 1 in 3 but due to the drought they are predicting 1 in 6 survival rate. And are asking for every one to harvest their does as soon as possible this year to try and prevent over browsing of native habitat.

This extreme heat is also making it hard to get out there & do some scouting.
Im ready for a break in the weather so me & the boy can get out there.

I feel for you mACHETTE. Texas has been hit very hard by the droug Its really gonna wreak havoc n the huntign season this year. Good luck to you my friend. We had a drought early in the season but got over it now. It put a month or so delay on food plot production and planting. I'm hoping that your weather changes and soon. Take care.
