This Thread may be better in the Photo Hutt. We call this the Pond Stand. Every winter it gets about 3 ft deep, but dries up in the summer and makes a great food plot. The best thing is the woods on both sides of the pond are so thick you have to crawl to get through them. Good bedding area, not where you wanna track one. Tracked two does in there and never found em. This is where the 140 in 13 pt was killed on Dec. 2 2008. He was down to 160 lbs, so my bet is he was coming to the plot to replenish from the rut. This is the 220 yd view South This is the view north. about 80yds.

It seems the woods are thicker in the South...just an observation from the posts.

Got out for a few this evening & sat on stand. There are some well defined game trails here. The trails run from the thicket, through some corn, through the CRP, underneith my stand & up into an apple orchard on the neighbors property. Took a few pictures. Didn't see anything but it was pretty warm here today. Better luck next time. Ill try to remember my camera from now on also.
