Saw this on another site and thought it was pretty neat, getting a chance to see the different locations across the country from a deer stand view. Here is my new spot for the year, Have allready seen two deer from it, and have a fair bit of pics so far. Also had a nice doe bed down about 15 yards from the base of the stand last weekend! So lets have a look guys! Attachments:

Sounds great to me! I'll have to get some pics taken when season opens up. Of course, mine will be from the ground as I am no longer "allowed" up a tree. LOL

They did a laminectomy and bio fusion at L4-L5. The neurosurgeon advised me never to climb a tree again. Even with a safety harness, a fall could do bad things. Plus, I have extensive nerve damage, and it probably isn't a good idea to climb a tree when you can't feel your right foot. LOL So, ground hunting it is.

This is the view from one of my bow stands. We feed year round protein, rice brain and when we get our first frost we start feeding alfalfa hay. I couldn't stand it so I climbed in the stand a couple weeks ago and took this picture with my phone.

Deer love rice brain. I took my wife hunt last year and we poured some out in an area where we have just seen deer traveling through and they come strait out to it. It takes a while to get them accustom to it but once they do look out. Of course in Texas it is legal for us to use bait. The alfalfa works great as well when every thing else is dead. The stand there the deer where going through a 70lb bale a week. We saw 10-15 deer late season every time we hunted it.

Thanks fellas, we like too. =] This spot here is our last resort just because its so close to home. I like traveling to our different camps. It gets us away from our wives & children for some real R&R.

Had this one in photo bucket already. It is one of our many stands. We call it the claustropobic stand. Because it is a 4x4x5 plywood box, with a small hole looking down a 100 yard lane cut in thick planted pines. Usually the deer cross down further, but this one was close enough for a pic with my phone.
