I use alot of scent elimination spray & cover scent when in the deer woods. But I don't use any attractants such as estrus & the likes until around rut.
Do you folks use any attractants Pre-Rut?
I plan on making a Scrape Line in a pinch point this year & setting my stands around the area. Any advice on which attractants I should use would be great.

Well i dont use much until the rut is starting to take hold. What i do use early is Grave Digger to make some mock scrapes. Once i set it up i usually just refresh it every few days with a little of my own pee. This seems to piss them off and will start them using the area more and more. Also one thing i swear by year after year is EverCalm by VS1 scents. This is a coverscent i have been using for years. This stuff really does work. Ive killed many deer downwind of me using this product. Good luck man and dont be afraid to pull out them rattlin horns in the prerut.

Oh yeah!!! Pre-Rut is the best time to use scents when the bucks are starting to cruise for doe's! The best attractant other than fresh doe urine that I get from recent kills has been "Still Steaming". If the bucks are actually in rut it is nearly impossible to pull them from a hot doe.

I wouldn't stop at just one mock scrape near your stand...try 2 or more in a line of say 30-150 yards total. You can start a mock scrape with just about any buck scent you want to or scrape scent starter. I've found that the tink's gel estrous stays for s while longer. Trophy Buck by Tink's has worked well for me here in SC. Like passin through said...once you've got it established...try your own pee. Scout the area well before putting in a mock scrape or line of them though...bucks trail along side or usually paralell to main trails so set up a scrape off the side of a main trail. Try a scouting camera alongside the main trail at an angle of about 35-45 degrees to see whats using the trail. Good luck.
