I had that happen to me with 2 fawns hunting earlier this season. They came out walked all around where I was hunting ate a bunch of corn then bedded down right in front of me. After a couple hours I decided to leave and crept down as sneakily as possible never looking at them...they didn't even run away as far as I could tell. I never heard any bounding or quick jumping off.
