The 2 day Ohio gun season was this weekend and my son, grandson, son-in-law and I were out both days and had a little bit of good luck.
I didn't get a shot at all. Brendan got a shot off on Saturday but missed again. My son-in-law passed on a young 6 point Sunday morning and didn't see anything after that.
My son, Matt was the one that salvaged the hunt by taking a very good 12 point at about 09:50 Sunday morning with his 50 cal Thompson Center Hawken. It was the first deer that he has taken in 7 years due to having to work, and having major back surgery a couple of years ago.
I'm not giving up yet as I have 2 tags to fill. We still have archery season that ends on February 5, and the 4 day primitive weapons on January 7-10.
