Just wondering what Bow everyone here is shooting this year. I am shooting a new Hoyt Turbohawk with Apex lighted 3 pin sight, WB, fuse stabilizer and fuse quiver. I purchased this bow toward the end of last season after using my PSe Nova for 4 or 5 years. Kinda like going from a yugo to a cadillac. Not knocking the PSE, but it was entry level, and man I love this HOYT. Lets here what you guys are shooting,

Main bow
Jennings Strikeforce Cobra Sidewinder 5 pin sight WB NAP stabilizer Limbsavers Cat Whiskers string silencer TRU Ball release Carbon Express Terminator Select @28.5" with Quickspins 100gr Grim Reaper or 4 Blade Muzzy
Backup bow
Martin Jaguar Magnum Unknown 4 pin fiber optic sight Trophy Ridge Dropzone rest NAP stabilizer Cat whiskers string silencer Limbsavers Beman ICS Hunter @28.25" 100gr 4 blade Muzzy
I don't remember who makes the quiver, peep site, sling, etc. but they are the same on both bows.
I would like to upgrade bows, but not right now. Maybe in a few years I'll sell one of these and upgrade. But for now, they both work fine. Both are quiet, and accurate. The Martin is good out to 40 yards, the Jennings I shoot regularly out to 50. I'm not saying I would shoot at a deer that far, but I practice out to there. Makes those closer shots easier.LOL

My bows have received relatively little attention from me the past 3 years because of shoulder surgeries, so they haven't been getting worn out.
My hunting rig is a 2003 Hoyt Razortec @ 58 lb, outfitted with a full containment rest (forgot brand - sort of like a Whisker Biscuit), Simms modular stabilizer, Trophy Ridge 5-pin sight, and Gold Tip Expedition Hunter arrows c/w G5 Striker broadheads.
For target events I use a 2005 Hoyt Protec @ 50 lb, Sureloc Supreme sight, Trapdoor rest, Superstix stabilizer, and generally Fat Boy arrows.
Like JD, I don't figure to make any changes in the near future.

the zs are literally going off of the shelves up here like hot cakes, my bud(pro shop) literally cant keep up, he told me that mathews is selling 2000 bows per month across the country,...... wish i had stock in that company,......deerslayer,....... I have got all my boys hooked on them, they are far superior to the rage as far as im concerned, huge wound channel, but they atleast stay closed, IDK how many times i have looked down and saw an open rage on the end of my stick, ...... and that is from numerous packages........,..... I dont really do it , but go try to stalk a deer through woods and see how many times the rage opens,.... heck just slap your arrow against your hand , and it will open........ jmho..... but they do work

I dont really do it , but go try to stalk a deer through woods and see how many times the rage opens,.... heck just slap your arrow against your hand , and it will open........ jmho..... but they do work That's why I like fixed blades. If you have the bow properly tuned they will fly right with the field points. One thing I don't like about the Rages is that in the video I saw, at least half of them did not exit. From an arrow shot from a tree stand the entrance wound will be high, and not cause as much external bleeding as a low hole (the blood will tend to stay inside until it fills the cavity up to the hole). If the arrow exits, you have a nice low exit hole on the other side that should (theoretically) start bleeding almost immediately.

Ive never had anything but passthru with my rages. I use the 3 blade and it will open once in a while but thats normally while removing it from the quiver. As for blood trails ive never had to bend over to find blood while tracking. I have really no complaints about them.
