i just got hit up by an ole friend on facebook, her mother owns 20 acres behind my house, across the swamp, i know it has deer, she said her mother would be interested in giving permission, I will be calling her tomorrow!!!!! this is surrounded by pretty large woods so i am excited, plus, close to home!

Nice. Its hard to beat those places close to home. Ive got 37 acres 2 blocks from my house that I archery hunt. Makes it nice for those quick hunts before and after work. I shot this buck a couple years ago on 13 acre tract right down the road from my work.  |

It is nice to have a spot close to home, but I still enjoy getting away and hunting for the weekend.

i agree its so nice to have a spot close once bear hunting is done or i get one ill probably go at least once or twice during the week before school

im goin to meet with her and check out the property on saturday after I get out of the woods in the morning, probably move a stand over there on sunday! cant wait i hope it has some good sign!

My best buck was taken on a 40 acre stand of trees. Small doesn't necessarily mean small deer.
