I got a line on a new bow. Looking at getting a Mathews Z7 Extreme. Probalby won't have it till to late to use this year. Been looking at reviews and such and it looks to be well liked.

Ive got my eye on that same bow. Im due for a new rig & have been leisurely shopping around. The Z7 Xtreme is just plain Bad Ass. They also have the Z7 Xtreme Tactical model. Its a thing of beauty.

My PSE has been great but it's 13 years old. Figure it's time to upgrade.

i like the matthews bows but unless they changed things i was told that in order to tune them properly you need to remove the string and twist it. Dont know if its true just what i was told. I like being able to tune my own equipment without help. You guys ever heard this?

I think your right. I just googled "How to tune a Mathews Bow" and they were talking about twisting the string. I don't know if this is just for the fist time tuning but I would guess you would have to do it each time it is tuned. How often does one need to tune his bow? I have had my PSE Beast for 13 years and never had it tuned since I bought it. Each year I just wax the string and go out and shoot to make sure its still on.

I will tune my bow every year. Im kinda anal that way though. Most times a bow at rest will slowly lose its tune as things change. As to how often yours may need to be tuned but my cousin has had to have his done 2 times in 5 yrs so far. Just thought i would mention the tuning issue to ya as he is tiring of it.

Well I got an email today asking if I would rather have the new ZXT rather than the Z7Xtreme. I went ahead and am getting the ZXT. Should have it next week. $60.00 cheaper

Finally got my new bow. Once I get it all setup and shoot it I will give a review. Some thoughts looking at it straight out of the box: Nice finish Light I pulled it back and it is very smooth with a nice back wall. The 80% let-off is really nice.

Got the bow all set up and started shooting it. WOW!!!! Does it shoot nice. Smooth draw and solid back wall , quick and quiet. I can't believe the difference from my old bow. I went with the whisker biscuit rest. Love it. Can't wait to get out and hunt!!!

I Still have my Renegade. Bought a full force several years ago haven't taken it out of the box. Should try it before it's to far outdated. Ha
