Ok the other day at our lease we came across a gopher turtle turned upside down. He was still alive, but there was a huge load of crap dropped on his belly. I am pretty sure it was coyote crap, can't imagine what else it could have been. I did take a pic because the story itself would not make much sense. I am thinking a coyote turned him over and couldn't get him out of his shell, so he crapped on him so nothing would get him and he would come back later when he was dead?   |

That is definitely weird!!!
Your guess is what makes the most sense. I've seen them unload on a deer carcass before to mark it, keep others from feeding on it. Makes sense. Dumb yotes. LOL

I'm not sure of what to think about these posts. I've never heard of such a thing. I've not had much experience with coyotes other than when a youth armed with an AR15 a snow cape and a couple 30 round clips and a wounded rabbit call.
So would this possibly be that of a fox? Or even a wild dog?
