Well... We've been driving for about 16 hrs & we are another 4hrs from our camp. Hopefully I can post some great pics/news from Northern Ontario with some pics of some moose!

Was sighting in my rifle on Monday & discovered that the scope was broken, with every shot the point of impact changed... some shots didn't even hit the paper. So I'm sending my Bushnell 3-9 X 30 scope back to see if they will warranty it.
Problem: it ain't going to be back before the moose season.
Solution: New Scope - Quigley Ford 3-12 x 50.
Problem: Scope hits the iron sights with my current mount
Solution: gotta get new bases & rings
Problem: nobody in town carries bases for my gun !! F*** ME!
I'll let you know how it works out, when I find a retailer who sells bases.

Bought a new scope for my rifle, because I had to not that I wanted to. so Bring it ON!

Great looking mount. I particularly like the look in the last pic where you have the mounts on both sides of the picture.

Those things look like they're still alive! I don't know a single person that lives up here & intentionally tries to catch turtles. Especially snappers!
LOL, good job.... I guess...

AFTER POSTING MY ORIGINAL THOUGHTS ABOUT BUILDING A FEEDER, I TOOK CJ'S ADVISE ABOUT A GRAVITY FEEDER, I WANT TO KEEP DEER COMING TO THE FEEDER DURING DAY LIGHT, NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WHEN WE'RE NOT HUNTING. SO THE FEEDER IS A SPIN FEEDER ON A TIMER, NOT A GRAVITY ONE. MORE PICTURES OF THE FEEDER.

Last weekend we cleared some of the cedar brush left lying on the ground from when the logger cleared out the cedar bush on the farm. So we cleared the logs and brush right to the ground near one of our new stands creating some lanes we hope the deer will use (it was 12-18" deep in some places - which explains why the deer wouldn't move through it). I spread some White Dutch Clover on the ground that I bought at the local farm / feed supply store in the newly cleared lanes, we are going to add some turnips as well. I saw the tracks of deer already using the lanes, so I hope that the seed takes. I will post some pics as it matures. I put in a feeder in March & I have had to reload it 3 times now. My brother set up his game camera on the feeder, but has only captured pics of a racoon and squirrel so far, LOL. I'll get some pictures up when we get some. Ned
