That is one sweet looking pistol. How are the different grips working out for ya? I like 'em!!! It is hard for me to find a handgun that grips just right, but this one does easily. Going to put a few hundred rounds down this bad boy this weekend!

Never used one, but have strongly considered it. Keeping the decoy scent proof is the only draw back that I can see. I agree that timing would be crucial to how well the buck decoy would work.

I have seen it a million times and I am sure you have too! A hunter goes and buys a very expensive rifle that is topped off with a high $ scope and then he slouches with cheap scope mounts! PLEASE NOTE: Riverrat this is not aimed at you! LOL... A guy came in the gun store complaining about missing a deer today and he had the el cheapo mounts on his rifle that were loose! Save your time and get a solid set of mounts!!! ;)Just had to share!

Amazing pic Canuck2!!! I never became fascinated with them until I accidentally stepped on one several years back while bow hunting! I was hit twice without the rattler ever rattling. Lucky me, I did have on snake chaps or I may not be here. I was at least 30 minutes into the woods and another 30 minutes from the nearest hospital. Since I am around snakes often out in the wild, I just figured I would learn to deal with them and possibly understand them a little more. 99% of what you hear is wrong about snakes. They can and are dangerous when provoked. They also will 99% of the time prefer to escape while using a bite as the last effort to escape.

Actually found out that I have 13 baby rattlesnakes. These are the ones that I was able to seperate (Scary job). The odd-ball snake is a baby copperhead.

Don't know about you guys, but this year has been crazy!? Life in the deer woods I guess!? I got over it and decided to hunt a favorite stand of mine for the muzzleloader opener this morning. A nice hunter moved my trail markers that had been there for the past 6 years and marked his own trail with them! Man, people drive me crazy sometimes! We as hunters have an unwritten code of respect to each other. It is just that many never go by it. Can any of yoy relate?

Be creative!!! Some of the best looking panels I have used ranged from old barn wood to cross cut oak. When purchasing the wood, I generally go with a midlle to high grade 3/4" plywood.

During the pre-rut I have had good luck by using the best decoy ever!!!! I use the doe's in the area that I am hunting. The younger bucks will be on the prowl during this time searching for doe's. The mature bucks will generally hold off until the doe's are actually coming into estrous. You can focus on hunting the edges of doe bedding areas and late evening staging areas. These 2 key areas are the most productive during the pre-rut. Good luck and your bill will be promptly sent to you in the mail! LOL......
