Wow! Thanks for the advise guys! The bow is extremely decked out with a zero effect arrow rest, limbsavers, high $ stabilizer and pendelum sight. It also comes with Gold Tip arrows, bow case, Muzzy broadheads, very nice quiver and a very nice release. The bow was said to have costed around $600 new for just the bow. He was wanting to do a partial trade for a rifle of mine. Being that I am pleased with my current bow and that bows depreciate so quick, I think I will pass. Thanks again for the info!!!!!!

A friend of mine is trying to trade me a Hoyt "XTEC" 1000. Does anyone have an idea of what this bow is worth???

Have you considered a muzzle break to reduce the recoil? A 308 with a muzzle break would be an ideal solution to your deer hunting needs. If a muzzle break is not on the menu, then the 7mm-08 would be a sweet choice. Nothing wrong with a necked down 308 in the 7mm caliber! Now thinking about it, the 25-06 would be potent using Barnes X-Bullets!

The S&W 686 is the first revolver that comes to my mind when thinking of a 357. The S&W model 60 is also pretty darn sweet, but in a much smaller size. Great guns, but a little pricey. The good thing is that Smith & Wesson revolvers hold their value pretty good.
