Personally for me I dont like setting up right on the edge of a food source due to the chances of spooking something in the dark. I would look for an area that is in some thick stuff or swamp that the deer are moving thru from feeding to bedding. You will see less deer then sitting on the field but you will have shots when you do. Not knowing much about the land its hard to say but the best bet just by the photo would be in that point to the north between the corn and the beans. Deer will be using that corn for cover.

I have tried many Broadheads both Fixed and Mechanical and my two top choices are
For Fixed Blades - Slick Trick 100 Magnums. They leave a great hole going in and out with a great blood trail, fly true, tough, and replacement blades are easy to come about making the orginal investment worth while.
For Mechanical Blades - Rage 2 or 3 Blade in 100 grains. No tuning involved, fly true to a field point, easy to replace blades and tips knocking the price down alot in the long run, even a not so perfect shot is putting the animal down.

I wont be in this year. With some many things going on this will be the first time in 26 years that I won't be Bow Hunting. I am going to try to at least do a little gun Hunting but not counting on it.
Good luck everyone

Interview went great but didnt take the job. The pay would of been the same and Memphis was a version of Detroit, not for me.

Will be heading just East of Memphis Tennesse for a job interview on Monday. Company is covering all expenses for me to come down. Pretty excited and nervous as hell. It will be a huge life change leaving Michigan but I dont want to be the last one to leave here.

I have a Remington 870 Wingmaster with both a field barrel and a rifled slug barrel and also a Mossberg 835 Turkey gun (thought about getting the slug barrel for it as well), both are great guns. The 870 Express and the 500 are also great. I would suggest looking at both and see what feels better to you, thats what matters the most. The remington may cost a tad more but if you feel more comfortable with it go with it. Guns last a long time when taken care of and if you look at the investment say over 20 years the price difference is next to nothing.
Best of luck and welcome Arrow

I would keep him around as an alternate or something. Ya just never know if someone may drop out. Exactly. Great idea but if we would find someone else we could add him on a team. Hey now its Predator, I say just ad him to a Team. Im sure we can bug those not signed up or add your brothers bird total to the other Team. This is all in good fun and of course bragging rights but we need to find a way to get Predator on a Team, he would do the same.

Did you have lots of deep snow this year? I don't know how true this is, but I've heard that a build up of snow and ice can break off the "hairs" of a turkey's beard. Smoke... I have heard this as well but to happen on so many birds is very odd. Hey Pass sent those Birds down south, I heard the Hens like short things down there. ;D

I bet the brown color has somthing to do with mixing with wild dogs. That could be but they come in all colos. I have seen them from Red, Blonde, Dark Grey Black, and Brown. Only have seen the Black, Blonde and Normal color though in the woods. Would like to get one like this some day

They are everywhere around here, the things are like rabbits EVERYWHERE. Never seen one this color before and I picked out a walking mount with its head turned. Only one I have seen so far that will be able to show all the different colors on it. The picture doesnt do it any justice. Getting it done like this one
