I have an all-weather in 7mm08. I love the way the gun is built. The trigger is decent but could use a little inprovement. There is a slight amount of creep. I couldnt get the gun to shoot factory remington cor-lokt ammo, but didnt try anything else. With those loads I was getting groups that were between 2-3 MOA, so I handloaded some ammo and got her shooting 1-1.5 MOA. Some Rugers have a reputation for being picky with ammo. I am happy with mine, but havent hunted with it yet. That will change in a couple weeks.

Im not arguing that the gun wouldnt go off, Im just saying that the idiot holding it should NEVER have had it pointed at someone. There is no excuse for that ,and it is carelessness pure and simple. It has nothing to do with defective firearms. That is a completely different argument.

I didnt see the story, but if someone lost a loved one because a gun went off, then Im sorry but the blame lies squarely on their shoulders. A bullet flies in a straight line, so if their loved one was shot, it was because the rifle was PONTED AT THEM when they were fiddling with it!!! It is not the repsonsibilty of Remington to cure stupidity or carelessness!!

Ive seen bucks "fight" in late September and early October and it is not the same as a real fight closer to the rut. Between the time their velvet comes off and the time these bachelor groups break up, I think this friendly sparring establishes the pecking order for these bucks. That being said they do get to really pushing each other around sometimes, but its nothing like the real fights for breeding rights.

Man, looks like you guys need to do a little yote and fox hunting. And I wouldnt worry about not having the bucks you want on camera. They will show eventually.

I live in central Indiana and hunt there most of the time. When I get back to Ohio to hunt, I hunt in Perry County. Also have some property I hunt in Ritchie County, WV.

Looks Good! What part of Ohio do you hunt. I have family in southeastern Ohio and try to hunt there when I can.
